Cash game in Jhunjhunu Municipal Corporation elections, Rs 7.70 lakh found from Innova car which came from Nashik, interrogation of the driver continues

Jhunjhunu-Udaipurwati Police Action: Amidst the municipal elections in Jhunjhunu's Udaipurwati, the police took major action and recovered cash worth Rs 7 lakh 70 thousand 400 from a Maharashtra number Innova car. During the blockade at Bhairughat, the police had stopped the car and searched it. According to the police, the car driver Sitaram Saini could not present any satisfactory answer or valid documents regarding the cash. After this the amount was considered suspicious and confiscated. During interrogation, the driver told that he had come from Nashik, Maharashtra. Police had received information from an informer that suspicious cash could be brought for distribution during the elections. Now the police is investigating the source and possible use of the seized money.
